About Arefin

I am a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (R711103). I completed my BBA from Dhaka University (DU) in 2012 and after that I worked in 5-star hotels for more than 6 years. I loved dealing with people as I created plans for their events as an event sales manager. Even though I was working in one of the most exciting industries, I always had a craving to restart my academic life. Hence, I decided to apply for PR in Canada as the education system here is world-class and new PRs have several advantages when educating themselves here. After facing many obstacles, I immigrated with my family here in Canada back in 2019 taking the Express Entry route.
In 2020 I started my master’s at the University of Waterloo (UW). I never conducted any research work in my life, but I decided to go for research after completing coursework. Nevertheless, I am still working on my thesis which I should defend by the next term!
After coming to Canada, I had to deal with so many enthusiastic people with their immigration-related queries. Many people are always interested to know about the Canadian immigration system and the opportunities they might have to immigrate. Which persuaded me to launch a YouTube channel! However, I still felt I needed more knowledge in this area to serve the people in need of immigration advice. As meeting and dealing with people is an area I am passionate about, I decided to pursue a certificate course to study Immigration Law at the University of British Columbia (UBC). It was an online course which is a prerequisite for becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC). Studying two courses simultaneously during the COVID-19 period at UW and UBC was the most challenging task I had to face in 2021, however, the struggle was worth it when I passed both successfully.
Moreover, I still had to pass the public exam for the RCIC license organized by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants which I did back in July 2021. Currently, I am looking to serve as many people as I can with their Canadian immigration-related queries. Thus, I have decided to take the business initiative to open my immigration firm “Arefin Azam Immigration Solutions” so that I can help people realize their potential to ultimately become permanent or temporary residents of Canada.
